Our Story
Rapid Intake is an original progressive alternative metal band from Wilmington, Delaware. Their sound encompasses styles of alternative rock, progressive rock, metalcore, punk, and post-grunge with heavy intricate distorted guitar riffs, rich clean harmonized vocals, searing guitar solos, and a diverse mixture of upbeat and melancholy sounding songs. They are heavily influenced by bands such as; Tool, System of a Down, Deftones, Chevelle, Alice in Chains, Metallica, Judas Priest, Shadows Fall, Lamb of God, and Opeth.
In early 2014, guitarist and vocalist Jon Cintron began writing songs with plans to form an alternative band. After a year of writing up to a dozen songs and attempting to form a new band line up, Jon made contact with high school classmate Patrick Daniels, who took interest in the project after hearing a few rough drafts of the songs written. After a few weeks of jamming and co-writing material, Patrick and Jon sought out a Drummer and Bassist to form what is now Rapid Intake.
In the Fall of 2015 they quickly began opening for popular bands around northern DE performing at all the local clubs in Wilmington.
In early 2017 the band reformed with drummer Jon Freeman and bassist Julio Tirado from Anatomy of an Outcast; at that time Patrick stepped up as lead vocalist and guitarist.
They are now gigging actively in the northern Tri-state area and began recording their debut album.
